FORTVILLE — A Mt. Vernon High School student was seriously injured after the moped he was driving was struck by a car Wednesday afternoon in Fortville, police said.

Justice Hill, 16, of Fishers, was riding his moped northbound on County Road 200W when he slowed to make a left-hand turn onto County Road 900N, police said.

Hill was hit from behind by a sedan driven by 29-year-old Justin Goff of Pendleton, who told police he did not see the teen.

Hill had a deep cut to his forehead and complained of back pain after the accident, police said. He was driven by ambulance to Indiana University Saxony Hospital in Fishers and then airlifted to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis for treatment.

Hill is expected to make a full recovery, police said. Goff was uninjured.
