Insurance agent receives award

GREENFIELD — Brad Hancock, a representative with Shelter Insurance in Greenfield, recently was honored as the company’s top insurance agent in the state.

Shelter Insurance presents the “Agent of the Year” award to one employee from each of the 18 states where its coverage is offered.

Hancock will move on to the firm’s “Agent of the Year” award, which will be decided later this year.

Hancock has been a part of the company since 2003. He works out of his office in Greenfield, 635 N. State St.

Free document shredding set

HANCOCK COUNTY — Greenfield Banking Co. is conducting a series of free shredding events to encourage residents to safely dispose of documents containing personal information in coming months.

Only paper products are accepted, and residents must limit materials to one large lawn and leaf trash bag full of documents.

All events run from 9 a.m. to noon.

The events will take place as follows:

June 11: 51 N. Meridian Road, Greenfield

June 25: 12140 E. Washington St., Cumberland

July 23: 1920 N. State St., Greenfield

Aug. 20: 7363 N. County Road 600W, McCordsville

Sept. 17: 5783 U.S. 52 West, New Palestine
