Anita R. (Powers) Manis, 73, Fortville, died Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Community Heart Hospital. She was born on January 19, 1943, in Indianapolis, as the daughter of James and Margaret (Hauger) Powers.
Anita is survived by her son, Todd Moore of Greenfield; daughter, Dana (David) Moore-Lawrence of St. Petersburg, Fla.; companion, Jesse Cook of Fortville; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; and sister, Patricia Harding of Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry K. Manis; parents, James and Margaret Powers; brother, Michael Powers; and sister, Mary Anne Musiano.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until Noon on Saturday, May 28, at Erlewein Mortuary, 124 E. Staat St., Fortville, IN 46040. A funeral service will immediately follow at the mortuary. Pastor Matt Wickham will be officiating. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
