Matthew Thomas Clegg, 7, of McCordsville, passed away unexpectedly May 22, 2016. He was born June 7, 2008, in Indianapolis to David William and Amanda (Straw) Clegg and was in the second grade at Mt. Comfort Elementary School.
Matthew loved Sunday school, board and video games and was known for his silly dances. He was an avid Star Wars fan and considered himself a Jedi Master. People often commented on “what a polite little boy” he was, and he’ll be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Matthew is survived by his sister, Danielle Clegg; paternal grandparents, David Wayne and Cathy (Raters) Clegg; maternal grandparents, Howard Straw Jr. and Sharon (Loos) Straw; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. at McCordsville United Methodist Church on Friday, May 27. A Celebration of Matthew’s Life will begin at the church at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 28. Burial will immediately follow at Calvary Cemetery, Indianapolis.
