John O. Ellingwood, age 92, of Pendleton, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016. He was born on January 25, 1924, in Pendleton as the son of Ernest and Bessie Ellingwood.
John is survived by his wife, Jhon Kay (Tinkle) Ellingwood of Pendleton; sons, John O. (Sharon) Ellingwood II and Samuel E. (Vicki) Ellingwood; two grandchilren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Judith Diane Ellingwood; parents, Ernest and Bessie Ellingwood; and sisters, Frances A. Douglas and Beatrice E. Jones.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 124 E. Staat St., Fortville, IN 46040. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 27, at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, 9088 W. 1025 S., Fortville, IN 46040. Burial will follow the service. Pastor David Faust will be officiating.
