SHIRLEY — Joan Cupp, who has taught piano, keyboard and organ for 61 years, hosted a piano and keyboard recital May 1.
Cupp and her daughter, Terri, opened the program Gilliland from western Illinois, with a piano-keyboard duet. Their duet was followed by numbers from Cupp’s three great-granddaughters, Lucy, Annie and Emma Gilliland, also from Mt. Sterling, Illinois. They were taught by their nana, Terri.
Cupp’s students are Brooklyn Jones and her grandmother, Wanda Jones; Clara Wallace, Lexi Thomas, Rylee Ann Hunt, Jacob Sponsler, Evelyn Stout, Ashley Parker, Macey Parker, Cyrus Burton, Abby Ebbert, Ruby White, Tori Williams, Rahanna Hunt, Remington Hunt, Nolan Stout, Luke Nylund, Alexander Burton, Roanna Hunt and Kyler Schaetzle.
