Fever trade Clarendon to Dream for draft pick

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Fever traded point guard Layshia Clarendon to the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday for a second-round pick in next year’s draft.

Indiana acquired a pick that originally belonged to the New York Liberty.

Clarendon spent her first three WNBA seasons with the Fever. Last season, she averaged 6.7 points and 2.0 assists on a team that lost in the league’s championship round. She was the ninth overall pick in the 2013 draft.
