Rosanne Swanson of Arlington Heights, Illinois, was born on January 25, 1926, in New Castle, Indiana, to Harold and Thelma (nee Burke) Rehfuss. She died Tuesday, April 26, 2016, in Arlington Heights, Ill., at age 90.
Rosanne was an avid crafter, loved to sew and most of all loved being with family. Her encouragement and support were there for all.
Most of her early life was spent in Greenfield, where she met and later married her husband, Lawrence, on August 3, 1946. The union lasted nearly 50 years until Lawrence’s death in 1996.
Rosanne was a resident of Flint, Mich., and then Flushing, Mich., for most of her long life.
Rosanne is survived by her sons, Marvin (Sara) Swanson and Dale (Caroline) Swanson; grandchildren, Gregory Swanson, Kenneth Swanson, Madeleine Friedman, Catherine Friedman, Andrew Swanson, and Emily Swanson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; her parents; and brothers, David Rehfuss and Donald Rehfuss.
A graveside service for the family and friends will be held Monday, May 2, at Flushing City Cemetery in Flushing, Michigan at Noon.
