Historic preservation grants available

GREENFIELD — City planners will conduct a community meeting Monday to discuss a grant program for historic commercial properties.

From 3 to 5 p.m. Monday at city hall, 10 S. State St., residents are invited to attend a meeting to learn more about the new historic renovation grant program offered by the Office of Community and Rural Affairs.

The grant program, designed to preserve and rehabilitate historic properties, offers $10,000 to $100,000 of funding to commercial properties located in a historic district. A 65 percent match is required to participate.

Interested property owners must submit a letter of intent by May 6 to the Office of Community and Rural Affairs.
