Beers spills on road after morning crash
McCORDSVILLE — More than 1,300 cases of beers spilled onto a local roadway Tuesday morning after a semitrailer carrying the product tipped over.
The truck, owned by Monarch Beverages, tried to make a left turn from County Road 600W onto Broadway Street in McCordsville around 6 a.m. Tuesday, investigators said. The truck tipped, and its trailer collided with a pole near the intersection.
The crash resulted in a pile of broken bottles littering the corner of County Road 600W and a river of beer running down Broadway Street. The intersection was closed for most of the morning while crews tried to clear bottles from the area.
