Roster set for 2016 Indiana Boys All-Stars

The 2016 Indiana Boys All-Stars roster was announced Tuesday. A total of 13 players were chosen to the team and will play four games in June — two exhibition games against the Indiana Junior All-Stars as well as home-and-home contests against the Kentucky All-Stars.

The head coach for the 2016 Boys All-Stars will be Stacy Meyer of Greensburg. He will be assisted by Scott Hicks of Broad Ripple and Aaron Wolfe of NorthWood.

The Junior-Senior exhibition games are set for June 7 and 9 at sites to be announced. The first game against Kentucky will be June 11 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The final game against Kentucky will be June 12 at Bellarmine College in Louisville.

All four dates will be doubleheaders with the Indiana Girls All-Stars. Girls will play at 6 p.m. with boys to follow June 7 and 9. Girls will play at 5 p.m. June 11, with boys to follow. Girls will play at 1 p.m. June 12, with boys to follow.

Adult open lap swim set for New Palestine

New Palestine community members are invited to an adult open lap swim available Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 5:30 to 6:30 a.m. each week through June.

Additionally, Wednesday evening open swims will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. beginning April 20 until June 1. Fees are $2 dollars per session.

Sign-ups for the American Red Cross Lifeguard/Waterpark Skill Class are available now through April 18.
