Marie T. Boyle, age 84, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation. She was born on September 21, 1931, in Pittsburgh, Pa., as the daughter of Michael and Helen (Zubasic) Topich.
She graduated from South High School in Pittsburgh. Marie worked as a bank teller at Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh for 15 years. She later worked in the Sears installation office in Indianapolis for 5 years. She was a member of VFW #2909 in Indianapolis, AARP, St. John United Church of Christ and St. John UCC Women’s Guild. She was an avid card player.
Marie is survived by her sons, Steve (Carolyn) Boyle of Tampa, Fla., Dan (Krystal) Boyle of Liberty Township, Ohio, Skip Boyle of Indianapolis and Scott (Susan) Boyle of Greenfield; daughter, Kelley (Steve) Roberts of Greenfield; brothers, George and Dane Topich of Pittsburgh, Pa.; sisters, Nadine Maravich of Aliquippa, Pa., Anne Hearn of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Shirley Kidner of Maryland; eight grandchildren, Justin, Jamie, Brittany, Kelsey, Jonathan, Taylor, Andrew and Matthew; and two great-grandchildren, Ava and Ellie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Pam Boyle Cassidy and Maureen Boyle Rhodes; and sisters, Helen Kaszak, Delores Stiefvater and Mildred Kosanovich.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 U.S. 40 West, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 5 p.m. The Rev. John Krueger will be officiating.
