To the editor:
I read Darrin Couch’s letter advocating the building of the new 4-H Fairgrounds as proposed by the X-Plex group. But I noticed that he left out two important facts: one, how much it will cost and, two, where the money to build would come from.
As I recall from previous news coverage, the cost runs between $30 and $40 million. And the amount that is available from all sources to pay that cost is zero. That would explain why Mr. Couch did not mention those two facts.
I support the two county commissioners who say that they will build when the money is identified.
