TERRE HAUTE — Karen Copass of Greenfield is a member of the 2015-16 Indiana State University Eco-Marathon team. Karen majored in early childhood education at Ivy Tech Community College and graduated in December 2015.
The Eco-Marathon team challenges students teams around the world to design, build, test and drive ultra-energy-efficient vehicles. The ISU Eco-Marathon team will compete in the prototype class at Shell Eco-Marathon Americas this month in Detroit. Last year’s winner in the prototype class achieved 3,421 miles per gallon.
This is ISU’s first year participating in the competition.
