HANCOCK COUNTY — Between March 21 and March 25, Meals on Wheels programs from across the country invited elected officials, local celebrities and other prominent figures to deliver meals, speak out for seniors and raise awareness for the power of Meals on Wheels.
In Greenfield, local first responders and city officials took part in the Community Champions week, lending a hand to those delivering meals to local recipients.
The promotion was part of March for Meals, in which programs celebrate the inception of Meals on Wheels in March of 1977.
