Janet L. Buckley
Janet L. Buckley, 81, of Connersville, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Caroleton Manor in Connersville. She was born Jan. 23, 1935, in New Castle, the daughter of Homer and Kathryn (Boyer) Peachee.
Janet retired from Western Electric in Indianapolis in 1981. She had also worked at Fort Benjamin Harrison. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Phyllis (John) Savoy of Connersville; son, Steve (Barbara) Buckley of Carnesville, Ga.; nine grandchildren, Brianne Jones Puterbaugh, Michelle Jones Perry, Steven Edward Buckley, Jr., Ben Savoy, Kevin Savoy, Kristin Savoy, Justin Pullian, Heather Pullian and Kaysie Parten; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sandra Peachee Henderson of Greenfield and Anita Peachee Studier of Houston, Texas; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Buckley in 2001.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2016. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with David Bonne officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 50 E. 91st Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46209-4830.
