GREENFIELD — The Greenfield Parks and Recreation Department’s outdoor skating program begins April 9. Beginners and intermediates can learn skating skills that include standing, falling, marching, rolling, stopping, scissors, crossing over, direction change and jumping. Participants should bring their own skates, helmets and knee and elbow pads. The classes are available for ages four and up. The class fee is $35 for eight weeks or $7 a session. INDIANAPOLIS — The Indy South Train Show is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Southside Knights of Columbus, 511 E. Thompson Road. The show features train layouts in all scales and more than 100 vendor tables. Adult admission is $4 and children under 14 are free.
