Historian to speak at event

GREENFIELD — Donald Davidson, historian of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, will deliver a presentation to members of the Greenfield Chamber of Commerce at the organization’s next luncheon, April 5.

The lunch event, which costs $15, will be conducted at NineStar Connect, 2243 E. Main St. in Greenfield.

Collection event planned

GREENFIELD — Hancock County Solid Waste Management District will hold a collection event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 23 at the Covance Laboratories campus, 371 S. Meridian Road, Greenfield.

Residents can drop off unwanted electronics, including televisions and computers, documents to be shredded and tires for prices between $3 and $5. To see a detailed list of what items will be accepted, visit recyclehancockcounty.com.

Local agent recognized

GREENFIELD — Toni Dudley, a local agent with RE/MAX Realty Group, was recently presented with the RE/MAX Hall of Fame Award.

The award is reserved for agents who have earned more than $1 million in commission during their career with the company. Less than 23 percent of all RE/MAX agents have received the award.

E-file, get tax refund sooner

The Indiana Department of Revenue is encouraging residents who are eager to receive tax refunds to file returns electronically.

Returns that are filed through the website are processed and refunded in 12 to 14 days.
