Katherine “Tipper” (Riedling) Spicklemire, 66, of Greenfield, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016, at Hancock Regional Hospital Hospice. She was born on Sept. 15, 1949, in Lexington, Ky., as the daughter of John E. and Zelma (Baker) Riedling.

She worked for Zelma’s Restaurant as a bookkeeper/manager for 38 years. Tipper enjoyed painting, crafting, crocheting and sewing. She loved raising dogs where she would breed and board them.

Katherine is survived by her daughter, Tracey (Craig) Gruell; son, Scott (Amy) Spicklemire; grandson, Cameron Gruell; granddaughters, Logan Gruell and Remington Spicklemire; sister, Alberta Sams; brothers, James Harmon and John Riedling; companion, Robert Bryson; beloved dog, Pooh; several nieces and nephews, she loved very much and father of her children, Thomas Spicklemire.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Zelma Riedling.

Visitation will be held from 3-6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 6 p.m.
