Mary E. (Manco) Pennington, 91, of McCordsville, entered into heaven Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016, at her home. She was born on March 16, 1924, in Bowling Green, Ky., to the late Letha and David Manco.
Mary was married for 59 years to the late William W. Pennington of McCordsville and retired from Western Electric after 25 years. She was a member of McCordsville United Methodist Church and the women’s group there and enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by sisters, Louise and Earline; daughters, Eva Pennington of Broad Ripple, Brenda (Mick) Wilson of Ingalls, Patricia (Roy) Carver of Fortville and Linda (Jim) Jones of Indianapolis; son, William “Bill” Pennington, Jr. of McCordsville; 10 grandchildren; 26 great- grandchildren and six great- great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son David; brother, James and sisters, Bessie, Lula, Velma, Mae and Eliza.
A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville, where friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
