Delores “Dee” J. (Staub) Chimento, of Greenfield, passed away on Monday, Feb. 22, 2016, at her residence.  She was born on July 9, 1933, in Indianapolis, as the daughter of Alphon J. and Marguerite (Whitsit) Staub.  She graduated from Warren Central High School in 1950.

She was a secretary for the U.S. Government and most recently worked for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development retiring in 1987. Dee was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Indianapolis. She was active with the Christian Women’s Club and bible studies. She was also an active member in the Red Hat Society.

Dee is survived by her daughters, Lynn M. Carns of Indianapolis, Karla S. Pence of Indianapolis and Kimberly K. Chimento of Greenfield; sisters, Jacqueline Y. Lucas of Florida and Beverly J. Bless of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Kelli, William, Lindsey and Madisen and great-grandson, Austin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alphon and Marguerite Staub.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 1p.m. Reverend John Sattler will be officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greenwood.
