Mary E. “Bland” Dickerson, 89, Frankfort, formerly a Lapel resident, died Friday, Feb. 19, 2016. She was born on Jan. 30, 1927, in Batesville, to Theodore and Lorena (Renner) Bland.
She is survived by two nieces, Denise (Cherry) Bray of Frankfort and Sherry (Bland) Greene of Pfafftown, N.C.; one nephew, Howard Greene of Pfafftown, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur Eugene Dickerson; a sister, Thelma Cherry; a brother, Raymond Bland; a niece, Davita Cherry and a nephew, Stephen Bland.
Graveside was held at 11a.m. Monday, Feb. 22, 2016, at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel with Pastor Dewey Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
