Boys basketball state pairing show on Sunday

The official pairings for the 106th annual Indiana High School Athletic Association’s Boys Basketball State Tournament will be drawn Sunday.

The pairings will be announced live, beginning at 3:30 p.m. Fans can follow along via webstream at IHSAAtv.org or by listening to the IHSAA Champions Network (FM-107.5 and AM-1070).

The pairings show will be hosted by Bob Lovell and complete pairings will be available at IHSAA.org following the broadcast.

IHSAA girls basketball semistate this weekend

The schedule for this Saturday’s high school girls basketball semistate games is set.

Four different sites located across the state will host a pair of games with the winners from each contest moving on to play in the 41st Annual IHSAA State Finals in Indianapolis.

The 2015-16 State Finals will be at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Saturday, Feb. 27.

Admission for semistate is $8 per person. Times listed below are ET, unless otherwise noted.

Marauders in the HHC title hunt

The door is open for the Mt. Vernon boys basketball team.

With the Pendleton Heights Arabians defeating HHC front runner New Castle, 84-53, on Tuesday night, the Marauders are now in position to share the crown.

Mt. Vernon is second in the HHC standings with a 4-1 record and have two league games remaining. The Marauders host HHC foe New Palestine tonight at 7:30 p.m. in their final home game of the regular season.

With a win against the Dragons and another victory on the road versus Yorktown on Friday, Feb. 26, the Marauders would tie for first.

Class 4A Mt. Vernon has won eight of their last nine games and have only three losses this season against 4A New Castle, 4A Decatur Central and 4A No. 6 Lawrence Central.
