Lottie M. Matherly, 90, of Greenfield, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at Golden Living Center, Brandywine in Greenfield. She was born on March 18, 1925, in Missouri, to the late Elvis J. and Ollie C. (Jordan) Henson.
Lottie was a homemaker for most of her life and also worked for Real Silk making parachutes during WWII. Lottie attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Lottie also was an avid quilter, gardener, and cherished spending time with her family.
Lottie is survived by her daughters, Shirley VeHorn of Greenfield, Sondra Dalton of Madison, Wisc.; four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elvin, who passed away in 1999; son, Gary M. Matherly; daughter, Donna J. Hughes; seven brothers and asister.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 W Main St. Greenfield, IN 46140. Private family burial will be held on Friday, Feb. 19, 2016, at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN.
