Dustin Joe Mattingly, 34, of Indianapolis, passed away on Feb. 11, 2016, at his home in Indianapolis. He was born on Sept. 20, 1981, in Tampa, Fla., to John Mattingly III and LuAnn (Cones) Mattingly.
Dustin graduated from Triton High School in 2000. He later met his fiancée Wendy Wilson.
Dustin was working at Ivy Tech as a student affairs assistant in the registrar’s office. Dustin enjoyed listening to and playing music as well as spending time with friends and family.He was also a member of the New Palestine United Methodist Church and was compassionate towards animals.
In addition to his parents, Dustin is survived by his fiancée, Wendy Wilson; uncle, Kevin Ruschhaupt and aunt, Eve Berry.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Wally Cones and grandmother, Louise Cones.
Memorial service for Dustin will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20 , 2016, at New Palestine Cemetery in New Palestine.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dustin’s behalf to Shelbyville Animal Shelter, 705 Hale Rd., Shelbyville, IN, 46176.
