Kristopher A. “Kris” Washmuth, 33, Lapel, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016. He was born on Dec. 6, 1982, in Rushville, to Timothy and Kim (Nigh) Washmuth.
He was an Army veteran who served two tours in Iraq.
He is survived by his wife, of 11 years, Lindsay (Knepp) Washmuth; three children, Georgia, Brooks, and Scarlet; his mother and stepfather, Kim and Timothy Howard of Greenfield; his father and stepmother, Timothy and Diane Washmuth of Falmouth; two brothers, Joshua (Tracy) Washmuth of Rushville and Eric Howard of Whiteland; a sister, Alisha (Justin) Lenning of Morristown; grandfather, Richard (Jo) Washmuth of Shelbyville; a stepbrother, Sam (Nikki) Maxwell of Fishers and stepgrandparents, Curtis and Sue Howard of Rushville.
Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, 2016, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. A funeral service was held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Robert Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
