Kenneth A. Weaver, Jr., 88, of Greenfield, passed away Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, at Healthmark Regional Medical Center, DeFuniak Springs, Fla. He was born March 15, 1927, in Indianapolis, to the late Kenneth and Mary Josephine (Stone) Weaver.
Kenneth proudly served in the Army during WWII. He married Anna (Bell) Weaver on April 9, 1948. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Butler University and his Masters from Ball State. Prior to his retirement in 1986, Kenneth was a long time educator & coach at Greenfield Central Schools and a friend to all.
Kenneth enjoyed all types of sports, especially Butler basketball, travelling and wintering in Florida with his special group of friends.
Surviving are his sons, Steve (Diane) Weaver of Greenfield, Dennis Weaver of Greenfield; son-in-law, Rob Heiden of Wilkinson; brother, Jack Weaver of Indianapolis; sister, Barbara Tomlinson of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren; four great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents listed above; wife, Anna Weaver; son, Richard Weaver; daughter, Karen Heiden and sister Mary Jo Kears.
Friends may call 2-5 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield. A private family service will be held at a later date.
