Ruby Pearl (Ping) Chaney, 74, of Greenfield, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on Oct. 13, 1942, in Somerset, Ky., to the late James E. and Nella P. (Rogers) Ping.

Ruby worked at the United Technologies Carrier Division, was a regular bingo player at the American Legion and loved spending time with her Boston terrier, Sissie.

Ruby is survived by her son, Billy Waldroff of Indianapolis; daughter, Debra McCauley of Greenfield; brothers, James Ping of Indianapolis, Melvin Rogers of Monrovia, Ind.; sister, Ann McCoy of Indianapolis; five grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Denise M. Waldroff  and her brother, Harlan Ping.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, 2016, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 W Main St. Greenfield, IN 46140. Private family burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield at a later date.
