Local college students named to dean’s lists

HANCOCK COUNTY — Several area students were recently named to dean’s or president’s lists at the colleges and universities they attend.

Anderson University has announced its dean’s list for fall 2015. Local resident Samantha Case is among the students who are being recognized for their outstanding academic achievement. Case is a freshman studying nursing.

Hannah Rachel Jeske, 2015 graduate of New Palestine High School, made the dean’s list at Arizona State University College of Nursing and Health Innovation for fall 2015. Hannah is the daughter of Scott and Jami Jeske, and the granddaughter of Rhonda Jeske.

Four students from Hancock County were named to the dean’s list at Manchester University in North Manchester. They are Sarah Arney, a junior majoring in exercise science and fitness, and Christian Smith, a freshman majoring in marketing, both from Fortville; Logan Haston, a senior majoring in Spanish, from Greenfield; and Erin Fralick of New Palestine, a freshman majoring in English.

Madison Dolan of New Palestine was named to the Miami University dean’s list for fall 2015. Miami University students who achieved a 3.5 or better grade point average can be named to the dean’s list recognizing academic performance. Miami University is located in southwest Ohio.

Caitlin Lindman of McCordsville was named to the Miami University president’s list for the fall 2015 semester. Those with a perfect 4.0 grade point average can be named to the president’s list. Lindman is studying finance.

Jennifer Apple, daughter of Susan and Jeff Apple of Greenfield, was recently named to the dean’s list at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She is a freshman studying food science.

Luke Fimreite of McCordsville qualified for the president’s list at Trini University in Angola, Ind. Those named to the president’s list attempted 15 or more credit hours and earned a grade point average of 3.75 to 4.0.

Kaytlin Eastes of Greenfield was recently named to the dean’s list at the University of Evansville. She is majoring in biology.
