Virginia Lee Hardyman, 90, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, at Hancock Regional Hospice, Greenfield. She was born on April 17, 1925, in Greenfield, to the late Floyd and Freida (Slifer) Brown.

Virginia worked as a LPN and as a clerk in city hall from 1979-1984. She spent her life as a homemaker, devoted mother, grandmother, and wife. She was a member of the O.E.S. in Greenfield, a lifetime member of the VFW, and attended Brandywine Community Church in Greenfield.

Virginia is survived by her daughters, Carletta Kintner of Greenfield, Anita Bolton of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Jody (Garry) Sells, Greg (Lisa) Hudson, Carla Pierce, Chris (Asha) Kintner, Randy (Cheryl) Ballinger, Jenny (James) Glass; 12 great- grandchildren and three great- great- grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her son, Charles P. Albrecht; daughter, Bertha L. Ballinger; brothers,Jim Brown, Harry Brown, Charles Brown, Howard Brown, Robert Brown, Floyd Brown, Harold Brown, William Brown; sisters, Flossie Dodd, Doris Brown and her grandson, Mark Ballinger.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 W Main St. Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will immediately follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Park Cemetery, Greenfield at a later date.
