Library plans Madden video game tournament

GREENFIELD — To get ready for Super Bowl 50, the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road, is hosting a Madden NFL 16 video game tournament from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

The library has energy snacks, and players can break for lunch on their own between games in this all-day contest that ends with a final winner.

The champion takes home a trophy and first-place $50 gift card from GameStop. The second-place winner receives a $25 gift card, and third place receives a $10 gift card. Players in Grade 6 through adult are eligible to reserve slots while they last. Entry is free. Register at hcplibrary.org or call 462-5141, ext. 238.

New artwork on display at Greenfield Banking Co.

GREENFIELD — The artwork of Tim Lewis is on display in the Greenfield Banking Co. art gallery, 1920 N. State St., through the end of February.

Lewis works primarily in watercolor but does some work in pencil, pen and ink, pastel and colored pencils.

The gallery is open during banking business hours.

IndyArts presents Art & Soul celebration

INDIANAPOLIS — The Arts Council of Indianapolis kicks off a month-long celebration of African-American art and artists at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Indianapolis Artsgarden.

Jazz ensemble Icarus celebrates Mardi Gras

INDIANAPOLIS — The Icarus jazz ensemble presents a free concert in celebration of Mardi Gras at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 6050 N. Meridian St. The singers have performed at the Jazz Kitchen and with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.
