Schneider Electric recently awarded Bentley’s Buddies and Friends of Hancock County a $5,000 grant through the Schneider Electric Foundation.
Kim and Dave Youngblood, who work for Schneider Electric, have worked with other local non-profit organizations like the Hancock Hope House, the Marine Corps League and the Wheeler Mission. They applied for a grant on behalf of Bentley’s Buddies and found out it was approved in late 2015.
Bentley’s Buddies and Friends is an organization that connects children in Hancock County Schools with “certified and tested” dogs and cats in the classroom, in order to read to them. The organization is 100 percent volunteer and raises money with silent auctions, bowling events and other fundraisers as well.
