Earl E. Potts, 93, of Indianapolis, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016. He was born on Nov. 26, 1922, in Indianapolis, as the son of Edwin J. and Nellie B. (Hendrixson) Potts. Mr. Potts served in the Navy during World War II from 1942-1944.
Earl is survived by his children, Sandy Massey of Indianapolis, Gary E. (Cindy) Potts of West Palm Beach, Fla., Cindy Hernandez of Indianapolis, Georgia Beisel of Indianapolis and Cecelia Goddard of Indianapolis; 17 grandchildren; many great- grandchildren and great- great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin J. and Nellie B. (Hendrixson) Potts; wife, Barbara Potts; two brothers, Jerry and Denny Potts and a grandson.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East. Father Glenn O’Connor will be officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Indianapolis.
