Girls basketball state pairings set Monday
The official pairings for the 41st annual Indiana High School Athletic Association’s Girls Basketball State Tournament will be drawn Monday.
The pairing will be announced live, beginning at 8 p.m. Fans can follow along via webstream at IHSAAtv.org or by listening to the IHSAA Champions Network (FM-107.5 and AM-1070).
The pairings show will be hosted by Bob Lovell and Charlie Hall.

IBCA doles out honors for Player of the Week
Romeo Langford poured in a school-record 44 points in a game, and the New Albany sophomore headlines the recipients in the IBCA/Subway Player of the Week program for the week of Jan. 11 to 16.
Langford was joined by two other record-setters in the recognition program coordinated by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association — Fort Wayne Dwenger senior Taya Andrews and Trinity Lutheran sophomore Maddie Roark.
Rodgers and Andrews are respective boys’ and girls’ winners for District 1, Nunn and Spolyar are recipients for District 2, and Langford and Roark collected accolades for District 3.

IHSAA cancels seasons for Ben Davis, Pike girls
The varsity girls basketball seasons for Ben Davis and Pike High Schools have been cancelled for the remainder of 2015-16 season including participation in the state tournament series, IHSAA commissioner Bobby Cox announced Monday.
This decision, among additional penalties, is a result of incidents Saturday at Ben Davis High School during the varsity girls basketball game between the two schools.
In the fourth quarter of the contest, a violent fight erupted between the teams where benches cleared and fans rushed onto the court.
