Worship pastor set to bid farewell

FORTVILLE — Fortville Church of the Nazarene will say goodbye to its worship pastor, Jerry Campbell, as he and his wife, Susan, will be moving to Ohio.

Campbell has served the church in this position for more than four years. He also directed the small group ministry.

The congregation will honor the Campbells during the 10:45 a.m. service Sunday, their last at the church.

The public is invited to come and be a part of the service. There will be lots of music.

McCordsville church to serve breakfast

McCORDSVILLE — McCordsville United Methodist Church’s next Third Saturday Community Dinner is set for 4:30 to 7 p.m. today at the church, 6247 W. Broadway.

Most breakfast favorites are featured. A free-will offering for the meal will be accepted and will benefit the church.

GREENFIELD — Habitat for Humanity is moving forward with a plan to build a house in 2016 for a local family in Greenfield. A breakfast meeting has been scheduled at 7:30 a.m. Friday (doors open at 7:15) at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, 1141 W. U.S. 40. Dinner slated to raise money for Love INC

GREENFIELD — Love INC (In the Name of Christ) of Greater Hancock County is making plans for the second annual “Love Thy Neighbor” dinner, set for Feb. 13 at Adaggios.

Love INC engages Christians to help meet community needs by mobilizing local churches with the goal of transforming lives and communities in the name of Christ.

It works to build lasting community and church relationships, manage a database of volunteers, and coordinate all the church ministries to transform the lives of Hancock Countians. Support sustains the staff, facility and equipment.
