Veneta L. Apple
Veneta L. Apple, 92, of Fortville passed away Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis.
She was born Sept. 2, 1923, in Oaklandon to the late Walter O. and Beatrice (Stoops) Stoner.
Veneta was an Oaklandon High School graduate and member of the former Oaklandon Christian Church (now Outlook Christian Church). She had been a dental assistant and receptionist.
Veneta is survived by daughters Bonnie L. (Wilburn) Reynolds and Nina J. (Gerald) McConnell, both of Fortville; son Ed (Gina) Apple of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn W. Apple, in 1989; brother Dannie D. Stoner; and sisters Neva Nickel, Delores Watson and Joanna Stum.
A celebration of Veneta’s life was set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Seals Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fortville, with Rob McCord Sr., minister at Outlook Christian Church, officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Old Oaklandon Cemetery in Indianapolis.
