Francis “Bill” W. Oden, 91, of Greenfield, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016. He was born on Sept. 14, 1924, in Kokomo, as the son of Francis O. and Edith Oden. He served in the Army and received seven bronze stars.
Bill is survived by his children, David (Brenda) Oden, Jimmy Oden and Nancy Grounds and siblings, Donald Oden, JoAnn Stansfield and Joyce Fowler.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Oden; daughter, Suzann and parents, Francis and Edith Oden.
Visitation will be held from Noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 1 p.m. Pastor Mark Watkins will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
