Marjorie H. Zapf

Marjorie H. Zapf, 93, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, at the Franklin United Methodist Community in Franklin, Ind. She was born May 9, 1922, in Manchester, Iowa, to the late Charles and Flora (Jones) Hawks.

She was a homemaker, a former member of the First Christian Church, Frostproof, Fla. and the Greenfield Christian Church.

She retired in 1987 from Indiana Knitwear, where she worked in the sample and design department. Marjorie also enjoyed fishing, traveling, water skiing, playing the organ, and loved her church life.

She is survived by her children, Ronald (Virginia) Zapf of Indianapolis, John (Nina) Zapf, Roger (Candace) Zapf, and Barbara Colip all of Greenfield; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter H. Zapf; sister, Mary Lou Zapf and her grandchild, Brian Zapf.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson, Ind.
