Starr Lynn Burroughs, 18, of Shirley, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, at her residence. She was born April 21, 1997, in Greenwood, the daughter of Terry and Wendy (Van Buskirk) Burroughs.
She attended Eastern Hancock Elementary School and Greenfield Central from 2011-2014. She would have graduated this May. She has been going to Riley Hospital for 18 years.
Starr loved attending school and riding the school bus. She was a member of the Shirley Church of the Nazarene and had also attended Grant City Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed music and cooking.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by three brothers, Kevin (Megan) Fannin of Greenfield, Rick (Megan) Fannin of Fairland and Dakota Burroughs of Shirley; a sister, Billie Fannin (Joey Fasnaus) of Shirley; grandparents, Jerry and Elizabeth Burroughs of Spiceland and Charles and Juanita Van Buskirk of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Marsha Moore and Louise Moore; great- grandparents, Wayne and Mildred Milner and Bernard and Betty Burroughs and great- grandfather, John Lindburg.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 2016. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Dan Jones officiating. Burial will follow in McCray Cemetery, Wilkinson.
