Douglas W. Wilson, 82, of Knightstown, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at his residence. He was born May 26, 1933, in Michigan, the son of Roy and Wilma (Koon) Wilson.

A proud Purdue graduate, Doug was a veteran of the Army serving from 1955-57. He retired from Ameriana Bank where he worked as Vice President and Loan Officer at many Henry County branches. He was a member of Rural Youth in Henry County and Kennard Christian Church where he served as an elder. He loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed Purdue Boilermakers Basketball and Cincinnati Reds Baseball.

He is survived by two daughters, Julie Kay Wilson of Selma and Jill Suzanne Wilson of Shelbyville; three brothers, Robert (Lou) Wilson of Montgomery, Ind., George (Barbara) Wilson of Bakersfield, Calif. and Larry (Karen) Wilson of Montgomery, Ind.; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, of 55 years, Eula Kay Wilson on Oct. 13, 2015.

Friends may call from Noon – 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Military rites will be conducted by the Knightstown American Legion Post #152. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
