Hear a story, make a craft and play games starting at 11:30 a.m. until a noon countdown. Then toast the “Noon Year” with grape juice and catch balloons falling from above.

INDIANAPOLIS — The city of Indianapolis will ring in 2016 on Dec. 31 with the IndyCar drop at midnight, viewable from Georgia Street. Washington St., with a family-friendly, alcohol-free celebration in the Governor Frank & Judy O’Bannon Great Hall. Activities include face-painting, arts and crafts, games, door prizes and a special musical performance by the Indianapolis band, The Tides.
