GREENFIELD — Kids ages 3 through 6 can ring in the New Year early at the Hancock County Public Library’s Greenfield branch, 900 W. McKenzie Road. Hear a story, make a craft and play games starting at 11:30 a.m. until a noon countdown. Then toast the “Noon Year” with grape juice and catch balloons falling from above.

INDIANAPOLIS — Pat McAfee presents “A Ridiculous New Year’s Eve” at 8:30 p.m. Dec. 31 at the Murat Theatre at the Old National Center, 502 N. New Jersey. INDIANAPOLIS — The city of Indianapolis will ring in 2016 on Dec. 31 with the IndyCar drop at midnight, viewable from Georgia Street. INDIANAPOLIS — Celebrate a Family New Year’s Eve from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 31 at the Indiana State Museum, 650 W. Washington St., with a family-friendly, alcohol-free celebration in the Governor Frank & Judy O’Bannon Great Hall. Activities include face-painting, arts and crafts, games, door prizes and a special musical performance by the Indianapolis band, The Tides.
