GREENFIELD — Representatives from Wreaths Across America, a program that places evergreen wreaths at the gravestones of American soldiers, stopped in Greenfield on Dec. 4.

The program, which is supported by Walmart, took place at the Sam’s Club Distribution Center, where Mayor Chuck Fewell and representatives from the Greenfield fire and police departments gathered with employees for a brief ceremony.

Steve Todd, operations manager for Sam’s Club, organized the local event and said he hopes to make it an annual tradition.
