Margie Marie (Brooks) Perguson, 89, of Greenfield, passed away Friday, Dec. 11, 2015. She was born on Sept. 9, 1926, in Greenfield and was raised by Charlie and Cecil Briney. She married Andy Perguson on April 14, 1945.
Marie was book keeper and co-owner of Perguson Trucking in Greenfield. She was a member of Greenfield Lioness Club, she loved to paint and was a very talented artist.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Marcia Marie (Raymond) Clegg of Fairland; brother, Wayne Brooks of New Haven; sister, Alma Hook of Greenfield; daughter-in-law, Debra (Debbie) Perguson of Sebastian, Florida; 2 grandchildren, Julie Ashman of Fairland, Jennifer Perguson of Sebastian Fla. and four great- grandchildren, Brian and Trevor Ashman, Marissa and Jesse McCarthy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Perguson; brother, Tom Brooks; son, Charles “Chuck” Perguson and grandson, Michael Perguson.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, also at the mortuary. Reverend Mike Manning will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
