Harry Bever, 92, of Knightstown, passed away Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015, at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born May 15, 1923, in Rush County, Ind., to Ivan Lycurgus and Lillian Maurine (Houchins) Bever.

A lifelong farmer in Henry and Rush Counties, he was previously employed at Dayton Air Force Base. He was a member of the Rushville Masonic Lodge and Knightstown Lions Club. He was a member of Knightstown Christian Church, where he formerly served as an Elder and a Deacon. An avid fisherman, he enjoyed welding and carpentry. He enjoyed spending winters in Florida.

Survivors include three children, Sharon Muncy, Knightstown; Larry (Debbie) Bever, Spiceland and Nina Wolfe, Knightstown; seven grandchildren, Brett Muncy and J.B. Muncy, Dawneil Hall, Jason Bever, Chad Bever, John Hinton and Joe Hinton and 19 great- grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred M. (Meyer) Bever on April 3, 2003 and a sister, Eloise Gilmore.

Visitation will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, at the Chapel with the Masonic Service held at 5:45 p.m. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Rev. David Bonne officiating. Burial: Glen Cove Cemetery, Knightstown.
