Mary E. Coffman, 98, of Spiceland, passed away Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, at The Waters of New Castle. She was born Oct. 29, 1917, in Kennard, Ind., the daughter of the late William E. and Clemma (Foster) Lockridge.

Mary retired from the United States Postal service, after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Madd Hatters Red Hat Society, Noble Grand Rebekah Lodge, Pythian Sisters and several area bridge clubs. Mary was an avid reader and a teddy bear collector.

Survivors include daughters, Jacqueline (Bill) Mathews of Indianapolis, Judith Kay (Ronald) Harrison of Greenfield; son, Tom (Connie) Coffman of Spiceland; eight grandchildren; 18great- grandchildren; four great- great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Loyd Coffman; granddaughter, Tommye’ Sue Coffman,;eight brothers and three sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m.Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at Condo and Son Funeral home in Wilkinson, with Kenton Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2015.
