Church to serve Thanksgiving dinner

McCORDSVILLE — McCordsville United Methodist Church will serve a community Thanksgiving Dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Nov. 21. An offering will be accepted for the meal and will benefit the church.

Feast of Plenty seeks volunteers for dinner

GREENFIELD — The 10th annual Feast of Plenty Community Outreach Thanksgiving Dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 26 at the Hancock County 4-H Fairgrounds.

The event is sponsored by area churches, businesses and volunteers. You can help by donating food and/or time to provide a free Thanksgiving dinner to people in the community.

Organizers need donations of cooked food, canned goods for bags of groceries that will be sent home with families at the dinner, and help with setup, serving and cleanup. Find a list of items and tasks at loveinc-ghc.org/feast-of-plenty-is– coming-up.

Revival services coming to church

MORRISTOWN — The Rev. Mike Manor, evangelist, will speak in revival services at Faith Baptist Church in Morristown.

Services will start at 10:30 a.m. Sunday and at 7 p.m. daily Monday through Friday.

Paul and Betty Hiscock will provide music.

Women’s tea party set at Wilkinson church

WILKINSON — The Wilkinson Church of Christ Women’s Ministry invites women and children of all ages to a Christmas Tea Party from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 5. It will feature appetizers, tea and hot chocolate, a guest speaker, music, photo booth, prizes and more. Tickets are $5. If you are interested in playing host to a table for the tea party, the cost is $25 (covers five guests of your choosing and yourself, the table host).

Vineyard to offer grief workshop

MT. COMFORT — GriefShare “Surviving the Holidays” seminar run from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Vineyard Community Church.

This seminar offers ideas for people who have experienced the loss of a loved one or friend on how to manage the holidays. The group will watch a 40-minute video, hearing from several people who have experienced a loss and would like to share hope and encouragement for those who might find this time of year tough.

Each person will receive a Holiday Survival Guide that will offer tips to use during this holiday season. A discussion time will follow the video for those who would like to ask questions, share concerns and talk with others who have had a loss.

Madrigal dinner has comic twist

IRVINGTON — “A Perfect Lie” is the comedy to be presented Dec. 4 to 5 at the Irvington Presbyterian Church Madrigal Dinner at 55 Johnson Ave., Indianapolis. An amusing tale, traditional madrigal music, and three-course dinner are highlights of the evening. The church drama players, choir, and PWC women’s group share the fun of presenting the activities.

Tickets are $20 per adult and $15 for children 12 and under, with proceeds going to the presenting groups and to PWC charitable projects. Tickets may be purchased in the church office through Dec. 1. The festivities begin at 7 p.m., with seating at 6:30 p.m.

Gateway Cookie Walk to benefit missions

McCORDSVILLE — A cookie walk is set for 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 5 at Gateway Community Church, 7551 Oaklandon Road. A variety of holiday cookies will be available at $6 per pound. All proceeds will support missions.

‘Godly Man’ study to conclude Tuesday
