Deborah Modlin Snider, 68, of Plant City, Fla. and formerly of New Palestine, Ind., entered into eternal rest on Nov. 8, 2015.

She was a retired English department head at New Palestine High School, where she earned teacher of the year honors. She was a graduate of Indiana Central College, where she was a cheerleader and honor student. She earned her Master's Degree at Butler University.

After retirement, she was instrumental in forming a Book Club in Plant City, Fla. Debby loved life and enjoyed books, the beach, and a Florida retirement that lasted more than twelve years.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Alan Snider; children, Chad Sellmer of Las Vegas, Nev., Jon (Cathy) Snider of Anaktuvik Pass, Alaska, and Kimberly (Jeff) Sprinkle of Baytown, Texas; siblings, Judy Lovejoy of Elkhart, Ind., Dan (Debby) Modlin of Bowling Green, Ky., and Belinda (Ned) Arthur of New Palestine, Ind.; four grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold S. Modlin and Marian Lund Modlin.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Indiana next spring.
