Rachel Theurer, 25, of Portland, Ind. passed away Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. Rachel was born October 18, 1990 in Portland, the daughter of Keith and Melissa (Jackisch) Osterholt. She was married Sept. 7, 2013, to Michael Theurer.
She attended Zion Lutheran Church in Portland. She was a 2009 graduate of Jay County High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Huntington University in Accounting and Business Management. She previously worked for DOZ Accounting in Carmel and currently worked as the Office manager of R&R RV Repair in Portland, her family business.
Survivors include husband, Michael Theurer, Portland; son, William Harold Theurer; brother, Richard Osterholt, Portland; parents, Keith and Melissa Osterholt, Portland; grandparents, Emily Osterholt, Portland and Rich and June Jackisch, Ft. Recovery, Ohio; several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held from 1-7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015, in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2015, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Portland with visitation 1 hour prior to services at the church. Pastor Mark Strietelmeier will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Salamonia Cemetery, southeast of Portland.
Memorials may be directed to her son William Theurer in care of Michael Theurer. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
