Handmade Market to offer handcrafted gifts

BLOOMINGTON — The Bloomington Handmade Market will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Bloomington Monroe County Convention Center, 302 S. College Ave. More than 70 different makers from across the Midwest will sell their creations, from jewelry to soft sculpture. Extension Homemakers to have holiday bazaar

GREENFIELD — The Extension Homemakers of Hancock County will present a Holiday Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Exhibit Hall at the Hancock County 4-H Fairgrounds, 620 N. Apple St. Items featured include baked goods, jewelry, scrapbook supplies, Tupperware, primitive items, wood crafts, candles, Christmas decorations, quilts and baskets. Admission and parking are free.

Children can write a letter to Santa

GREENFIELD — The Greenfield Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Santa’s Mailbox service for parents of children in the fourth grade and younger. Letters written to Santa can be dropped off now through Dec. 11 in a special mailbox at the Patricia Elmore Center, 280 N. Apple St. All letters must include a self-addressed stamped envelope so a return letter from Santa can be sent to each child. The Elmore Center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday but is closed over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Comic Book Club to discuss Wonder Woman

GREENFIELD — The Comic Book Club of the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie, will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday. This group is open to teens in sixth grade through age 19. Participants can enjoy snacks and discuss this month’s topic, Wonder Woman. Topics are voted on monthly.
