CrazyLake Acting Co. having auditions for ‘God of Carnage’

GREENFIELD — CrazyLake Acting Co. will have auditions for Yazmina Reza’s “God of Carnage” from 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 7 at 98 E. North St. The show, a 2009 Tony award winner, is directed by Dennis Cole. Auditioners need to be, or appear to be, age 30 to 40. Bring a prepared monologue. The role of Alan Raleigh has been cast. Common Threads Quilt Guild to meet at Methodist church

GREENFIELD — Common Threads Quilt Guild will meet from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Comfort United Methodist Church, 3179 N. County Road 600W. The guest speaker will be Kristin Donnelly Henson, who will speak on quilt copyright laws. Guest registration is $5.

Carmel center offers free workshop about decorating

CARMEL — The Indiana Design Center (IDC) is offering a series of free one-hour interior decorating workshops to help homeowners breathe new life into their decorating schemes. The Designer on Call Workshop series meets at 10:30 a.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at IDC, 200 S. Rangeline Road in Carmel. The topic for the November workshop is “Haute Holiday: Creating Couture for Your Table” presented by David Jackson from David Jackson & Co. Refreshments are provided, and free parking is available. Arts Commission accepting individual grant applications

INDIANA — The Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) is accepting grant applications now through Feb. 5 from individual artists in the areas of crafts, design, media arts, photography, visual arts and folk arts for the IAC’s Individual Artist Program. Artists living and working in Indiana may apply for up to $2,000 from the IAP grant. Application guidelines and the online grant application can be found at in.gov/arts/individualartistprogram.htm.
